PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: TRAIL SIDE INSPIRED CHALK ART + STYLING
Fall 2017 New Store Opening project takes places in our first upstate New York location. The store is positioned along the Erie Canal and hosts a trail side, secondary entrance.
Inspired by the concept of trail; the VM team worked to tie each key presentation to a local trail - using chalk art created [executed] by in-store employees.
In celebration of the location and the people who inspired the art; this theme is carried throughout the store and paced in a way that encourages exploration and discovery.
HARDGOODS
CLIMB
As outdoor/indoor climb continues to grow, we discovered an incredible culture around key locations to climb and boulder in upstate New York.
This art install is a result of onsite collaboration between myself, a visual team leader and a team of chalk artists. Using a stock photo, we altered the image to create an abstract outline of a female climber in an iconic pose.
Similar to other locations, we installed climbing holds to allow customers to test climbing shoes. In this location, the holds are placed as if she is using them herself.
#FORCEOFNATURE and the artists signatures are hidden within the piece.
This installation was replicated in Fall 2017 in the Greenwood Village Relocation/Expansion project.
